Pictures from Round 1 of the 2022 Championship at Mondello
Our first outing to Mondello for 2022 saw 12 cars on track and Michael Cullen again leading the way with two back to back wins. There were many exciting battles and close competition on track with a red flag early in race 1 taking Roger Welaratne out for the restart.
Michael led the way from a fast charging Jonathan Taylor with Paddy Shovlin in an excellent third place on his first outing in a Stryker. Kevin McGrath had an excellent fourth place and is one to watch for this year.
In Race 2, Michael was again in top form leading the fast charging pack across the line. After surviving a first turn incident, Jonathan crossed the line in second place and the ever improving Kevin finished an excellent third place with Dave Reynolds finishing fourth.
